📅 Last Revised: October 2026 🆓 Free & Open Access 📜 Standard Fair Play License

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and 1 vs 1 Chess Offline Arena ("we", "us", or "our"). By loading, bookmarking, installing, or interacting with the service at chess-1v1.pages.dev, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should discontinue using the application.

2. Service Description & Offline Nature

1 vs 1 Chess Offline Arena is a browser-based two-player chess simulator featuring FIDE legal move validation, digital sports timers (Fischer increment, blitz, rapid, shot clock), board flipping, and customizable visual themes.

The service is engineered to execute client-side inside standard web browsers. Once the assets are cached, matches can be played without an active internet connection. We provide this utility free of charge for recreation, learning, and casual competition.

3. Permitted Use & License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and play 1 vs 1 Chess Offline Arena on your personal devices under the following conditions:

  • Personal & Casual Gaming: You may use the software for recreational face-to-face chess matches with friends, family, and colleagues.
  • Educational & Club Use: Teachers, coaches, schools, and chess clubs are permitted to use this site for classroom exercises and local club matches without licensing fees.
  • Prohibited Actions: You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute malicious copies, mount automated DDoS attacks against the hosting infrastructure, or misrepresent the service as your own commercial product.

4. Fair Play & Sportsmanship

Because this game is played locally face-to-face on a shared device, players are expected to respect classic over-the-board etiquette:

  • Respect match clock timing and your opponent's move turn.
  • Only request move takebacks upon mutual consent of both competitors.
  • Treat opponents with courtesy whether playing in person or during club meetups.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The centuries-old rules, piece movements, and strategy of chess are in the public domain. However, the proprietary software, visual design system, dark luxury glassmorphism CSS, audio synthesizers, brand graphics, and custom code of 1 vs 1 Chess Offline Arena are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

Open-source components incorporated into the application (such as the standard chess.js move validator) remain licensed under their respective permissive open-source licenses (MIT/BSD).

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The application is provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Notice Regarding Browser State Because the board state and match clock exist in browser memory, refreshing the page, closing the tab, or running out of battery may reset an ongoing game. We recommend avoiding browser reloads during tournament matches.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the creators, maintainers, and hosting providers of 1 vs 1 Chess Offline Arena shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service.

8. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at our sole discretion. Any changes will be published directly on this page with a revised "Last Revised" date. Your continued use of the application following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those revisions.
